WFA MOBIE challenge winners create a film for George Clarke's #LoveHome campaign

The film will be shown at a government event in Birmingham this week when the #LoveHome campaign is officially launched.

On Thursday 14th February, George Clarke from Channel 4's Amazing Spaces will be speaking at the ‘Better Design for Better Places’ Conference in Birmingham (a big government event). He’ll be talking about his charity, MOBIE (Ministry of Building, Innovation + Education) – and promoting the MOBIE Valentine’s campaign, called #LoveHome. They are asking people to think about what makes home special – and in particular to answer the following question: “What makes your house a home?”

Our MOBIE Challenge winners were invited to join the #LoveHome campaign and make a film explaining what home means to them. The film will be shown at the Better Design for Better Places conference this week.

Mr Williams, Head of DT and Director of Creative Curriculum and Communications, who coordinated the MOBIE challenge and the #LoveHome video explains: "Our students are thrilled to continue to liaise with MOBIE and their national #LoveHome campaign. They are also excited as MOBIE have arranged for the students to visit the world acclaimed Grimshaw Architects in London next month..."

Year 7 student Libby says: "The whole MOBIE challenge has been excellent. It has allowed us to learn about modular housing and the importance of the environment."
