Edibles are rising in popularity with young people nationally.  These are cannabis laced sweets and biscuits which are really easily disguised in plain sight.  They are often packaged similarly to the real product with only very slight differences. 

Please see the photos for examples. These are illegal to sell in the UK so are often sold through social media, particularly Snapchat, Tik Tok and Instagram. The high that they produce often isn't immediate so sometimes more are eaten which can have serious consequences. 

Similarly to other drugs, these aren't quality controlled so the amount of cannabis that they contain varies massively.  Please keep a close eye out for these, particularly where young people appear to be sharing smaller bags of sweets and where it seems funny or illicit.  These are notoriously difficult to spot and obviously carry a further risk of being shared with someone who doesn't know that they're eating it or with younger siblings.
