Weston Favell Academy

A-level success 2017

Students at the Weston Favell Academy are celebrating after receiving their results for their A-level or equivalent courses of study.

Performance in academic qualifications has once again improved with 78 per cent of students achieving three or more A-levels which is a seven per cent increase from 2016

Whilst all the students have done remarkably well, there are some that have particular cause to celebrate:

The academy’s top performing students are Peter Ward and Kirsty Edge who have both achieved an average A grade performance.

Peter gained A grades in Economics, Business Studies and Law. Peter is a very mature and dedicated student who has worked hard to achieve these results. He leaves the academy to study Business Administration at the University of Bath.

Kirsty, who has consistently been a top performing student throughout her time at the academy, has achieved A* in Mathematics and B grades in Fine Art and Psychology. Kirsty will be taking a gap year and then embarking on a degree in Photography at Portsmouth University.

Zeiyn MohammedRebecca Easton and Nessrine Ouajid (pictured below) all achieved an average of a B grade performance across all their subjects.

Zeiyn, Head Boy, gained B grades in Physics, Mathematics and Further Mathematics and will go on to study Physics at university.

Rebecca has achieved a solid and consistent set of results achieving B grades in History, Psychology and Sociology and a Distinction* in Sports Studies. Rebecca goes on to study Philosophy and Sociology at the University of Southampton.

Nessrine gained A* in Arabic, B in English Literature and a C in Business Studies to add to the grade A in French gained last year. Nessrine goes on to study Modern Languages at University College London. Pictured below.
