WFA supports Northampton Food Bank
WFA students, parents and staff generously donated food to the Northampton Food Bank to help Re:Store Northampton provide emergency food packages to families in crisis.
Staff, students and their families generously donated food/ supplies to the Northampton Food Bank. The Food Bank is a local charity that supports families in Northampton. Three year 7/8 students; Charlotte Smithson, Paige Burlington and Chloe Oosthuizen delivered the supplies with Mrs Taylor and had a tour of the facilities, gaining a better understanding of how the Foodbank operates and the need for the supplies. Northampton Foodbank has been providing emergency food parcels to families and adults across the town since 2009. In 2016 they supported 2239 adults. The local community generously donates approximately £70,000 worth of items each year which is sorted and distributed by local volunteers.
It is definitely something we will continue to support in the future.
