Pupil Leadership

At Weston Favell Academy, we believe that every pupil has the potential to make a difference. Our Pupil Leadership Programme provides opportunities for pupil to develop confidence, responsibility and leadership skills while helping to shape the future of our school. Led by our Senior Prefect Team, pupil leadership is organised through two distinct strands: Pupil Voice and Project Groups.

Pupil Voice ensures that every pupil's opinion can be heard. Form Ambassadors and Year Ambassadors gather feedback from their peers and work closely with staff and Senior Leaders to identify priorities, share ideas and create positive change across the school. This ensures that pupils play an active role in school improvement and decision-making.

Our Project Groups provide pupils with the opportunity to lead initiatives that matter to them and their community. Within our different ambassador groups: Charity, Sports, Reading, Wellbeing, Sustainability, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion; Anti-Bullying, Enrichment and Peer Mentoring, pupils plan events, champion important causes and make a lasting impact on school life.

Alongside these leadership pathways, House Captains and House Deputies foster school pride, teamwork and participation through inter-house events and competitions. Together, our pupil leaders help to create a school culture where pupils feel valued, empowered and able to contribute meaningfully to the Academy community.
