We are incredibly excited to welcome you to Weston Favell Academy

As a Headteacher who has recently joined the Academy, I have felt the warmth of the welcome and have been very impressed by the high standards and really positive learning environment.

Our transition team will be in touch with families and their schools throughout the spring and summer terms.  There will be opportunities to meet key staff and to visit the school on a number of transition days.  Those young people who require a slightly more personalised transition can expect to meet with our SEND Team and to start to build up those really person relationships which will have been key to your success at primary school.

The relentless focus of the Academy will be to ensure that everyone joining the Academy feels confident, welcome and inspired by the breadth of opportunities on offer.  Our core focus will be on every young person achieving really well during their time at the Academy, but equally, we will be focused on making sure that every school day is a positive one and that our pupils are exposed to a wealth of additional opportunities.

I cannot wait to meet each of you and to get you settled into our wonderful school - together we will do great things.

Mr Marston - Executive Principal

Mr Beeby - Head of School

Transition days and evenings

Please do not hesitate to get in touch at admin@westonfavellacademy.org if you have any questions. Please see Frequently Asked Questions to see the responses to questions that your son/daughter may have or be concerned about.

Uniform

We believe that wearing our distinctive uniform gives our pupils a sense of 'belonging', helps foster pride in themselves and the Academy and removes issues arising from peer pressure or inequity.

All pupils are expected to wear the full uniform correctly, and we would urge you to read the details carefully. Elements of our uniform are widely available and inexpensive, but items such as the Academy tie, jumper, blazer and PE top will need to be specially ordered.

Click here to follow the link for full details of the Academy uniform and how to order from our suppliers, Nationwide School Uniforms.

Attendance

We know that high levels of attendance are a vital component for successful learning and we pride ourselves on striving to achieve the highest levels of attendance at Weston Favell Academy.

Please read the academy's guidance on attendance.

Transport

Where possible, we hope your child will walk, ride a bike or take public transport. If parent's preferred choice is to bring their child by car, the roads near the academy can become very busy and congested at the start and end of the school day so please drive carefully, park sensibly (and with respect to our neighbours) and be thoughtful to others.

Don't forget to check out the additional pages 'In this section'.
