Weston Favell Academy

Parent Forum

What is The Parent Forum?

It is a body of parents, representing parents and is run by parents with the support of the Academy.

It helps the Academy to understand better the needs and views of parents and how they might be addressed.

It supports the Academy in reaching out to those parents that do not routinely make contact, and helps to break down barriers and promote greater participation.

It is an important group that is involved in consultations on Academy Developments e.g. Uniforms, After-school clubs etc.

It is a key group involved in development and discussions around new policies e.g. Healthy Eating, Homework and Behaviour.

The Parent Forum meets three times per academic year and includes approximately twenty parents drawn from all year groups in the Academy. The dates for the Parent Forum are detailed in the calendar published on this website.

Next Meeting Thursday 27th April 2023.
